Starting from April, the Latvian national airline airBaltic enters in cooperation with ERGO/ERV to offer improved travel insurance available on its website www.airBaltic.com.

With 50% of tickets sold at its website, www.airBaltic.com is the largest online shop in the Baltic region. It offers everything you need for your travel – from airline tickets, to hotels, to car rental and soon even sunglasses for a beach holiday – and we are continuously adding new products and services.”

The travel insurance products available on www.airBaltic.com now include such new features as cover for sports injuries and sports equipment.
Local offices of ERGO /ERV in 15 European countries will service the holders of travel insurance policies. ERGO with its local subsidiaries in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, will service the airBaltic clients in the Baltic States. For 2009 airBaltic has announced 20 million EUR preliminary profit, and achieved 6% passenger growth to 2.75 million passengers. In 2010, airBaltic has so far announced eleven new destinations from its Riga hub including Madrid, Belgrade, Vaasa, Umea, Beirut, Amman, Manchester, Rovaniemi, Kuusamo, Visby and Lulea.
