In February passenger traffic at RIGA International Airport rose 21 percent2010-03-05
In February 2010 RIGA International Airport welcomed 272 013 passengers or 21.1 percent (47 413 passengers ) more than in February 2009 when 224 600 passengers were served.
In the first two months of this year 569 842 passengers were welcomed at RIGA International Airport or 18.4 percent ( 88 557 passengers) more than last year at the same time when 481 285 passengers were served.

In February 2010 the airport handled 4 371 aircrafts or 16.4 percent up from the previous year’s result for the same period when 3 756 aircrafts were handled. This year in January and February in total 9 222 aircrafts were handled or 11.2 percent more than last year in the same period when 8 296 aircrafts were handled.
Cargo turnover in February 2010 reached 933 tonnes of various cargo or 43.4up from 651 tonnes in February 2009. In the first two months of 2010 1 758 tonnes of cargo were handled or 39.2 percent more than in January and February of 2009 (1 263 t of various cargo).
