airBaltic to Launch Nonstop Flights from Riga to Frankfurt 2009-07-16
On 17 September 2009, the Latvian airline airBaltic will launch nonstop flights from Riga to Frankfurt, in Germany. It will be already the sixth destination of airBaltic in Germany and the eleventh route launched by the airline in the summer season of 2009.
Tero Taskila, the Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: "We are delighted to add the financial capital of Europe to airBaltic's route network. The new flight will provide excellent connections to destinations in Scandinavia, Russia and the CIS."
airBaltic will offer nonstop flights from Riga to Frankfurt on a daily basis – seven flights per week in total. Passengers will board a Boeing 737 airplane for a flight that will last for 2 hours and 15 minutes. One-way ticket prices will start at LVL 25 (EUR 36), including airport and transaction fees. In the summer of 2009, airBaltic has already added 11 cities to its destination map: Palanga, Kaunas (both in Lithuania), Tartu (Estonia), Turku (Finland), Linkoping (Sweden), Tromso (Norway), Dushanbe (Tajikistan), Geneva (Switzerland), Warsaw (Poland), Pskov (Russia), and Frankfurt (Germany).
