Average daily room rate drops to same level as 2003

In May, housing services were used by 189,000 tourists, 16 percent less than the same month last year, according to statistics. The average daily room rate has dropped to the level it was at in 2003. The average cost of a night was 482 kroons in March, 13 percent cheaper than last year and five kroons less than during the same period in 2003. A total of 132,000 foreign tourists stayed the night in May, which is 13 percent less than the same time last year. The number of arriving tourists was less from every main tourist partner except from Russia.
