Ryanair passengers trapped at Kaunas Airport2009-07-03
Passengers left on their own in terminal building for 14 hours
Passengers of a Ryanair aircraft that was due to take off from Kaunas Airport on Tuesday evening were left on their own in the terminal building for no less than 14 hours. The low-cost airline offered them neither accommodation nor food and drink. The Lithuanian Civil Aviation Administration revealed that a bird had hit the aircraft's engine during landing. Experts from Ireland were brought to Kaunas to check the plane and decide whether it could be used for the transportation of passengers. This was the second Ryanair flight that has been delayed recently.
