Reassurances made over outbound travel 2009-05-12
No need to worry about package tours if agreement is signed
An earlier article with the headline “Tourists – Hostages of Delayed Payments” may have made some readers nervous about whether the travel agencies they have booked trips from will still be able financially to carry out the holidays. It is worth remembering that there are safety catches in Lithuania that guarantee that travel should take place if an agency is in trouble. First of all, before buying a package tour, clients have to sign an agreement, the content of which gives all details of travel and payments. And after the clients pay for the package they must receive their validated travel documents no later than four days before the departure date. In this case, outbound tourists need not to worry about whether the trip will take place.
