Luggage-heavy tourists face bus fines in Latvia

Foreign passengers unaware they have to buy extra tickets

Aggressive bus inspectors are back in the news, this time in Latvia. Tourists with luggage are being forced to pay fines for not buying additional tickets for the seats their bags take up. Fines run to up to LVL 15 (EUR 21). Riga International Airport has decided to take the matter into their own hands by creating information boards specifying all ticket prices and regulations.
