Lithuanian representatives visit world cruise industry event
In order to attract more cruise-ship tourists, Klaipeda must try 10 times harder than the more-popular port of Tallinn, tourism experts from the Lithuanian port city were told at a cruise fair in Miami. The Baltic Sea region was described as one of the world’s most promising cruise destinations at the event, giving hope that Klaipeda, still fairly new to this line of tourism with its five-year-old cruise terminal, will be visited by more ships full of wealthy passengers in future. Despite the economic crisis, the global cruise industry is expected to grow this year and more cruise ships are being constructed.
