airBaltic to Refund Ticket Price for Passengers Who Lose Job2009-04-16
The new rules will apply to economy class tickets bought after April 16, 2009, by airBaltic passengers who are residents of the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia).
“We see that people are increasingly becoming unemployed in the Baltic States, and we must be understanding in terms of coming toward our passengers by compensating them for the money that they’ve spent on tickets,” says airBaltic president and executive director Bertolt Flick.
airBaltic clients are welcome to visit the offices of airBaltic where, upon presenting relevant documents about the status of unemployment from the State Employment Agency in Latvia, Labour Exchange in Lithuania or Unemployment Insurance Department in Estonia, they will be able to receive the aforementioned compensation.
