Latvia expects inflation to turn to deflation2009-04-14
But prices for tourism services and hotels still increasing
According to data from the Latvian Central Statistics Board, the average level of consumer prices this March increased by only 0.2 percent in comparison to February, far less than the high inflation rates seen a year ago. However, prices for tourism services, including hotel accommodation and restaurants, are still increasing. Nevertheless, March could be the last month for some time that Latvia experiences any kind of inflation, as deflation is expected imminently.
