Latvian airline airBaltic carried 175,539 passengers in March 2009, or 3% more than in the same month in 2008, when airBaltic transported 171,210 passengers. In March this year, the number of passengers at the base of airBaltic in Riga has increased by 31% compared to the same period last year.
During the first three months of 2009, airBaltic transported a total of 500,161 passenger, or 7% more than during the same period in 2008, when the total number of passengers was 466,177.
In March, airBaltic operated 3,284 flights, or 2% less than the 3,365 flights of March 2008. Between January and the end of March, the airline provided 9,661 flight in all.
Cabin factor in March 2009 was at a level of 62%, or 4% points more than in March 2008. During the first three months of 2009 airline’s cabin factor was at a level of 60%, or 5% points more than during the same period in 2008.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 93.4% in March 2009. This means that more than 93 of every 100 airBaltic flights in March departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
