Tourist board notifies police of dangerous bar in Riga’s Old Town
The Latvian Tourism Development Agency has asked law enforcement bodies and the Consumer Rights’ Protection Centre to control events in one particular bar in Riga’s Old Town. The name and address of the bar are not stated in the article, or in other press reports. According to the agency, violations against foreign nationals take place there on a regular basis. Clients are massively overcharged, or charged for drinks that have not been ordered. If they refuse to pay they are physically prevented from leaving until they do.
