Juha Mahonen, the general manager of the Reval Hotel Lietuva and country manager for Reval Hotels in Lithuania, has been invited to join the management council of the European Hotel Managers Association. At the 36th Annual Meeting of the association in Seville on February 14, the EHMA invited Mahonen to become a councillor and member of the management council. The Finnish hotelier has been working in the hotel industry since 1982 and joined Reval Hotels in 2002 to open the Reval Hotel Lietuva in Vilnius. He has been an active member of the EHMA since 2005, being the only representative from Lithuania, and in his new position he will represent Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, the Russian Federation and Sweden as a national delegate. ”My appointment is a great recognition for Reval Hotels and for the work we have been doing to promote the Baltic countries as a fresh and exciting travel destination,” he said.
