flyLAL shareholder publishes accusations 2009-01-30
An open letter written by Gediminas Ziemelis, shareholder of ZIA Valda, one of the companies that holds a stake in flyLAL, in which he lists those individuals he believes are responsible for the airline’s bankruptcy, has caused something of a stir in Lithuania. The list includes Latvian Minister of Transport and Communications Ainars Slesers, the former head of Vilnius International Airport Mindaugas Ivanauskas who is said to have actively protected the interests of airBaltic, MEP Arunas Degutis whose company RSS Motors provides fuel for airBaltic aircraft at Vilnius Airport, and others. Those accused by Ziemelis refer to the letter as a desperate step.
