Tallink evasive about interest in Estonian Air 2009-01-28
Tallink shareholder Ain Hanschmidt chose not to confirm or deny his company’s continued interest in acquiring the national carrier Estonian Air. He did, however, emphasize the importance of investments in this field, otherwise, he said, the sector would simply cease to exist in Estonia. ”Tallink is a company that is listed on the stock exchange and I cannot say anything more particular on the issue, but if one were to speak about it in general political terms, it is definitely necessary to have more flight routes between Tallinn and other European capitals than we currently have,” Hanschmidt said.
