Riga grows closer to Europe leaving Vilnius behind2009-01-23
Lithuania has decided to invest in all three of the country’s airports. But it may be left with nothing. Riga International Airport aims to grow many times over during the coming years, becoming a new and well-developed link between Europe and Asia. Vilnius and Tallinn airports have no such ambitions. Latvian Minister of Transport and Communications Ainars Slesers consistently stresses the future successes of Latvia’s major airport.
