Economic gloom bites for Latvian restaurants 2009-01-15
All restaurant managers questioned by the Latvian Hotel and Restaurant Association say that considerably less people are eating out these days. There is a clear negative trend in overall restaurant and bar turnover, writes Dienas Bizness. According to the country’s Central Statistical Bureau, expenses in the hotel and restaurant industry grew by 23.7 percent in the third quarter of 2008 compared to the same period in 2007.
