Who is behind the Swiss phantom? 2009-01-15
Rumours are intensifying about the legitimacy of SCH Swiss Capital Holding, the possible future owner of flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines. Kauno Diena writes that it is doubtful whether the company, which was established in its current form last year, will be able to fulfil its pledges made last week. Its name is spelt without an ‘s' at the end and has nothing in common with better established SCH Swiss Capital Holdings, the article says. Indeed, the company was registered in Switzerland only on 17 December 2008, at around the time it came to light that flyLAL was suffering serious financial difficulties.
