Familiar face appointed at Radisson SAS Daugava 2009-01-14
Conrad Meier, 42, has been appointed General Manager at the Radisson SAS Hotel Daugava in Riga, succeeded John Grieg. Meier has gained a lot of experience abroad and graduated from Les Roches Bluche hotel management school in Switzerland. In 2000, he became the pre-opening general manager of the Radisson SAS Hotel Klaipeda before being appointed general manager to open the Radisson SAS Resort in Taba, Egypt, three years later. The same year, he moved back to Lithuania as GM of the Radisson SAS Astorija Vilnius. In 2005, Meier moved to the Radisson SAS Hotel in Kiev, also as general manager, and his most recent position was as pre-opening general manager for the Radisson SAS Hotel Cairo Heliopolis, a position he held from last July.
