According to a public opinion poll conducted by the market research and public opinion company Baltic Surveys, made at the request of the international tour operator Tez Tour, Lithuanians go on vacation mostly in July and August and start planning their vacations only one month beforehand. According to Martynas Laivys, Tez Tour’s general director in Lithuania, the perception and culture of vacations as well as the preparations for them are different than in the rest of Europe where people often start thinking about their destination a year beforehand.
