Hotels in Latvia face additional burden2009-01-09
In another blow to hotels in Latvia, it has been decided that those service providers and goods suppliers in Latvia, including hotels, which concluded contracts with clients last year and are waiting for the charge this year, will have to pay the difference in the new rate of VAT. The value added tax for hotels has risen from 5 to 21 percent. The Latvian government did not want to make any exceptions concerning VAT.
