Sailing ship wins as tourist attraction 2008-12-19
The historical ship Libava in Liepaja has been awarded as the “best entertaining tourism product in Latvia in 2008”. Builders began to reconstruct the sailing vessel from Duke Jackob’s times (17th century) in Karelia in May 2007. The ship, whose construction cost EUR 350,000, will take part in regattas and serve as a tourist attraction.
