Riga City Council’s City Real Estate Affairs Committee has decided to support a plan to privatize 50 percent of local-government-owned shares in the Latvian-German company Reho, the lessee of the prominently located Hotel de Rome. In spring 2008, the City of Riga failed to sell the Hotel de Rome because Reho was against the privatization process.
