Poll highlights arbitrary nature of outgoing tourism 2008-12-17
According to a public opinion poll conducted by the market research and public opinion company Baltic Surveys, made at the request of the international travel operator Tez Tour, Lithuanians go on vacation mostly in July and August, but as many as 17 percent start planning their vacations only one month beforehand. Some 15 percent of respondents said that they start planning their holidays two to five months in advance, while 10 percent claimed that they tend to wait for last-minute offers. As few as 8 percent of Lithuanians plan their vacation more than half-a-year in advance.
