Aurela performs flights to Mecca2008-12-11
After its biggest client, the tour operator Novaturas, cancelled its contract with Aurela earlier this year, the Lithuanian charter airline has looked into the possibility of doing business in other European, Asian and African markets. In November, Aurela started flying Muslim pilgrims in Nigeria, West Africa, to the sacred city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj. Aurela also plans to work with Polish travel agencies to launch flights from Poland to Venezuela, Mexico and the Caribbean next year.
