Latvian tourists becoming more economical 2008-11-26

Tez Tour Director Konstantin Palgov assures that people will continue travelling despite the economic crisis. Around, 10 percent of Latvian respondents tell the newspaper that they plan to cut their living expenses due to the crisis. Egypt will remain the most popular destination for Latvian tourists this winter. State Tourism Development Agency Director Uldis Vitolins believes that special attention will be paid to attracting younger tourists to Latvia in 2009. He says that 2008 was very successful for incoming tourism; in the first half of the year there were 8.6 percent more tourists than in the first half of 2007.
