New water route on Emajogi River to get new harbours2008-11-26
A water route on the Emajogi River will get a number of new boating harbours and moorings as a result of the cooperation between local municipalities in Estonia’s Tartu County. While the principal objective of the project is to develop water and nature tourism in the region, soon tourism boats from Pskov may also start operating on the route. According to the Pskov newspaper Pskovskaja Lenta Novostei, the new water route would make it possible to cover the distance between Storozhintse and Tartu in 90 minutes and could be launched next year, said Dmitri Razumov, chairman of the committee for investment in the Pskov oblast.
