The number of passengers carried by airBaltic this year reaches 2 million 2008-11-13
The Latvian airline airBaltic carried 235,598 passenger in October 2008, or 22% more than in the same month in 2007, when airBaltic transported 192,409 passengers.
During the ten months of 2008, airBaltic transported a total of 2,207,215 passengers, or 31% more than during the same period in 2007, when the total number of passengers was 1,686,334.
In October, airBaltic operated 4,341 flight, or 23% more than the 3,526 flights of October 2007. Between January and the end of October, the airline increased its number of flights by 32% over the same period in 2007 - up to 40,154 flights in all.
Cabin factor in October 2008 was at a level of 62%. During the ten months of 2008 airline’s cabin factor was at a level of 63%.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 86.0% in October 2008. This means 86 of every 100 airBaltic flights in October departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
