Druskininkai intends to attract more local and foreign tourists by expanding a small airstrip and aerodrome for LTL 17 million. A 23 m wide and 1199 m long take-off strip, lighting, access roads and other equipment are expected to be purchased. The renewed facility could accept turboprop aircraft carrying up to 70 passengers.
