Travel agencies cancel trips to Georgia

2008-08-13

Latvian tour operators will not incur considerable losses due to the clashes in Georgia, according to this article, as planned trips there have already been cancelled. The agency Impro Celojumi has delayed a group tour for the time being. Those who wish to cancel the package tour completely can do so and their money will be returned. Georgia has a reputation for being an expensive country to reach and travel round, so journeys there are not popular among Latvians. Another agency, Latvia Tours, has also cancelled a tour to Georgia, planned for September 25. Due to lack of interest, Relaks Ture has cancelled its trips too and does not intend to restart them in the near future.
