Judge orders Lithuanian agencies to pay up2008-06-16
After returning from a trip to Montenegro with her family in August 2006, Ruta Palubinskaite, a Lithuanian judge from the Civil Cases Division of Kaunas County Court, brought a case against Zelesa, the company that organized the package deal as she was dissatisfied with almost everything. After two years, the judge has finally ruled that Zelesa and also Edastra, a Kaunas-based travel agency that issued the tickets, should return the LTL 4,267 (EUR 1,237) paid for the trip and compensate for the emotional distress incurred. The organizers claim that journalists and travel trade representatives who have been on the same tour to Montenegro have had no complaints whatsoever.
