airBaltic in May carried 24% more passengers than last year2008-06-09
During the first five months of 2008, airBaltic transported a total of 868,922 passengers, or 30% more than during the same period in 2007, when the total number of passengers was 668,335.
In May, airBaltic operated 4,139 flights, or 24% more than the 3,342 flight of May 2007. Between January and the end of May, the airline increased its number of flights by 34% over the same period in 2007 - up to 17,685 flights in all.
Cabin factor in May 2008 was at a level of 62% – 1% points more than in May 2007. During the first five months of 2008 airline’s cabin factor was at a level of 56%.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 84.6% in May 2008. This means that almost 85 of every 100 airBaltic flights in May departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
