Range of outdoor activities grows slowly in Latvia

2008-06-06

More and more incoming tourists are opting to see other Latvian towns, not only Riga. Germans, Swedes, Finns, Danes, Brits and Russians are looking for short breaks in rural Latvia, sometimes combining business activities with active leisure. More and more young people and campsite devotees are coming to Latvia, according to the Latvian State Tourism Development Agency. The Germans and the Dutch are more likely to be interested in cycle tourism, but Latvia does not have particularly good infrastructure for this yet.
