Tallink taxi fleet ready for action2008-05-27
On May 26, the yellow Audis and B-class Mercedes cars of Tallink Takso will start driving through the streets of Tallinn. The new company is hoping to attract customers, it says, with flawless service, high security and luxury cars. The cost per kilometre is a comparatively high price of nearly EEK 11 (EUR 0.70), the cost for getting into a taxi nearly EEK 50. The new company says that it will not force passengers to listen in on communication between the taxi drivers and their HQ as the orders are forwarded via a GPS system.
