Sheraton, Hyatt and other global chains will open properties in Latvia in the coming years. To better compete with the current and future competition, the 5-star Hotel Bergs in Riga and the Hotel Promenade in Liepaja have joined the worldwide Small Luxury Hotels of the World network. Iveta Sprudza, the Hotel Bergs’ director, believes that this will increase the number of guests by about 10 percent. More than 440 hotels in 70 countries are part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World network.
