Tallink Grupp optimistic about near future2008-04-22
The results of Tallink’s wintertime financial quarter did not disappoint analysts a great deal. The enterprise was pleased with the results and pledges to demonstrate that in the second half of the year margins will increase. Sales were positively affected by the first-ever winter period of fast-ferry operations between Tallinn and Helsinki provided by the M/S Star and the Tallink Shuttle service. The Group's gross profit decreased by EEK 6.4 million (EUR 0.4 million) to EEK 1,148.3 million (EUR 73.4 million), net profit by EEK 111.4 million to EEK -108.8 million.
