Russians still important for Palanga

2008-04-18

Some hotels in Palanga say they are already fully booked for July and August. The majority of bookings have been placed by Russian tourists. Edmundas Sakalauskas, head of the Palanga-based travel agency Feliksas, notes that this year hotel bookings tended to be made much earlier than previous years. Last year, this article says, 2.229 million foreigners visited Lithuania, 1.23 million of whom were Russian and 597,000 Belarusian.typo3/DOCUME~1/zane_mi/LOCALS~1/Temp/Tourism-Lithuania_Media_Review_20080416.htm#toc
