Estonian Air keen to launch Tartu-Stockholm in 20082008-04-15
Although there is no navigation equipment at Tartu Airport that would make it possible for an aircraft to land in foggy weather, Estonian Air says it wants to start flying from Tartu to Stockholm from this coming autumn. The airport will extend its runway this summer and the passenger terminal will be renovated. However, the installation of an ILS navigation system will only start next year, making it possible for planes to fly and land in fog when track lighting cannot be seen further than a couple of hundred metres.
