New culture of outbound tourism proclaimed in Lithuania2008-04-15
Tour operator Tez Tour hopes to attract around 90,000 holidaymakers this year and reach a turnover of LTL 180 million (EUR 52 million) compared to 68,000 holidaymakers and LTL 132 million turnover last year. Tour operators claim that a “new culture of tourism” is developing in Lithuania in which people tend to plan their holiday further in advance. Inflation has so far had only a minor influence on the market, while growing demand and improving chances of a memorable holiday are the key factors that are shaping the market.
