Changes in the Course of the 4th International Workshop for Young Composers Dundaga 20082008-02-14
His pieces are even in the musical menu of Berliner Symfoniker and Sir Simon Rattle. Among performers there are also Daniel Barenboim, Heinrich Schiff, Franz Welser-Möst and Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. Staud has studied in Vienna with Michael Jarell and Dieter Kaufmann, in Berlin with Hanspeter Kyburz, attended workshop of Brian Ferneyhough.
You are still welcome to register for participance in the 4th International Workshop for young composers. The workshop will take place from 10 till 18 August, 2008 at the Castle of Dundaga (Latvia). Everyone interested to participate as an active participant of the workshop should compose ¾ of a piece for classical wind quintet (fl, ob, cl, fg, cor) – composers of the 15 best pieces will become active participants of the workshop and their pieces will be performed by wind quintet Quintus Anima. It is possible to register also as passive particpant (observer). Registration for participance should be done duly as the number of participants is limited.
