July 22-August 13, it's the annual arts festival "Cēsis 2011" with a special attraction - outdoor screenings of early 20th century French cinema.

Films, selected by Prof. Valentina Freimane, from such notable directors ar Rene Clair, Marcel Carne, Robert Bresson, Henri Georges Clouzot, Jacques Tati, others.

The venue is Cesis New Castle garden.
