BalticBikes Return to the Streets in Riga and Jurmala

 Riga. On May 2, the bicycles of the BalticBike rental service will return to the streets of the Latvian capital of Riga and its nearby seaside resort of Jurmala for the summer season.

The “At Spilve Airport” Aviation Festival will take place from the 20th – 21st August

During the Rīga Festival on the 20th and 21st August, the "Rīgas nami" LLC is inviting the people of Rīga and their guests to the "At Spilve Airport" Aviation Festival. During the event it will be possible to view National Armed Forces' air and ground military equipment, civil aviation aeroplanes, as well as to visit the Spilve Airport's historical building.

airBaltic achieves best month in history; load factor up 80%

Latvian national airline airBaltic achieved the best month in history and carried 377,914 passengers in July 2011 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 3% increase comparing with the same month in 2010, when airBaltic transported 367,343 passengers. Number of airBaltic passengers grows by 36% in March

Latvian airline airBaltic carried overall 238,453 passengers in March 2010 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 36% more than in the same month in 2009, when airBaltic transported 175,539 passengers. In March of this year, the number of passengers at the base of airBaltic in Riga has increased by 39% compared to the same period last year.
